M. Burton is a librarian and artist living in the Pacific Northwest on the traditional land of the Coast Salish peoples. In addition to creating works of art, M. Burton is a STEM librarian. She has been a speaker at several library conferences, and wrote a book with the American Library Association about the future of library services for and with young adults. She is an avid gamer and a lifelong fan of the Final Fantasy series. She has been a 2D visual development artist for Steal the Skies, a Final Fantasy tabletop RPG set in the world of Ivalice, since 2022.
